Outlander

Séries Fantásticas


Já há um pequeno novo trailer para a série Outlander baseada nos livros de Diana Gabaldon. A série romântica de ficção científica escrita e produzida por Ronald D. Moore, que irá estrear em 2014 no canal Starz, segue a história de Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe), uma enfermeira de combate durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial, que viaja no tempo para o ano de 1743 onde é imediatamente inserida num mundo desconhecido de aventuras onde a sua vida é ameaçada constantemente. Quando é forçada a casar-se com Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), um jovem cavalheiro e romântico guerreiro escocês, começa uma apaixonante relação que divide o seu coração entre dois mundos e dois homens, em duas vidas completamente diferentes.

Grammys


Confesso que os Grammys não são os meus prémios preferidos e a música lá premiada também não será a minha preferida, uma vez que gosto mais de ver alguns blogues e sites sobre o que melhor de música se faz e por preferir descobrir algumas bandas através de conhecidos e da Internet. Mas vale a pena falar dar aqui uma pequena palavra sobre o assunto e mostrar os nomeados e vendores da 56ª Edição dos Grammys.

As categorias são muitas, a cerimónia foi longa, mas parece que s prémios não trouxeram nada novo. Houve muitas actuações, Queen Latifa casou vários casais em directo, e ainda houve tempo para uma polémica relacionada com corte da transmissão quando a última actuação da noite ainda decorria, levando o cantor Trent Reznor ficar bastante chateado com a organização e transmissão dos prémios.

Os grande vencedores desta edição foram os Daft Punk, que levaram quatro Grammy, incluindo o de Melhor Álbum do Ano por "Random Access Memories" e o prémio de Música do Ano foi para "Royals" de Lorde que tem apenas 17 anos. A Culpa é das Estrelas é a adaptação cinematográfica do romance com o mesmo nome de John Green publicado em 2012 e que se tornou um bestseller. 
 
O romance conta a história de Hazel e Gus, dois adolescentes que se conhecem num grupo de apoio para pessoas com cancro e outras doenças. Hazel tem cancro de tiróide com metástases e Gus está em remissão de um tumor maligno nos ossos (osteossarcoma) depois de ter perdido uma perna. Para além disso também partilham o desdém pelo que é convencional. Apesar de todas as dificuldades que os rodeiam, este jovem casal apaixona-se e vive uma história de amor marcada pelas dificuldades inerentes à doença. Existe ainda o enorme desejo de Hazel de conhecer o escritor de um livro que ela leu e que a marcou principlamente por este não ter um fim e ela nunca saber o que aconteceu às personagens do livro.
 
O livro, marcado por uma escrita simples e directa que se lê rapidamente, deve ter arrancado muitas lágrimas a muita gente que leu esta história triste, que mostra um mundo muitas vezes desconhecido para a maior parte da pessoas e que dá uma pequena ideia do que os doentes de cancro adolescentes têm de enfrentar quando algo completamente inesperado lhe muda a vida para sempre. Dá também um pouco de esperança a quem acredita no amor e acredita que é possível aproveitar qualquer oportunidade que a vida nos dá, mesmo em condições extraodinárias, e mesmo quando ela está tão perto de nos tirar tudo a qualquer momento.

Cinema Fantástico

Karen Gilian (Doctor Who) e Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Balactica) são as protagonistas de Oculus, um filme de terror dos mesmos criadores de Paranormal Activity

Parece qua há muita gente na Internet entusiasmada com o facto de o filme ter as duas actrizes que são bastante conhecidas pelas respectivas séries de ficção científica que as tornaram famosas. 

No filme, a personagem da Karen Gilian está a tentar ilibar o seu irmão de uma acusação de homicídio ao tentar provar que o crime foi cometido por um fenómeno sobrenatural. Bem, a premissa não é muito apelativa, mas as imagens parecem interessantes.
 
O filme estreia a 14 de Abril nos E.U.A.

Game of Thrones

Séries Fantásticas

A HBO revelou o primeiro trailer da quarta temporada de Game of Thrones desvendando um pouco o que virá por aí. E vai acontecer muita coisa. 

Esta temporada visa os acontecimentos da segunda parte do terceiro livro A Storm of Swords. Haverá um casamento real, morte, prisão, combates, batalhas, dragões, fugas... tantos acontecimentos! 

Este foi o meu livro preferido do Martin até agora e já li algures que a série não vai seguir o livro completamente (algo que já esperava), mas espero que tenha aqueles momentos que são fulcrais para a história e que tornaram o livro o melhor até agora.

Gostei da música do trailer. Trata-se de "Feral Love" da Chelsea Wolfe. Abaixo fica o trailer.

Golden Globe Awards: Vencedores

A primeira coisa que tenho a dizer em relação aos Golden Globe Awards está relacionada com a transmissão portuguesa. Parece que a Sic Caras conseguiu os direitos de transmissão depois de o canal AXN não ter demonstrado interesse em transmitir. Sinceramente não percebo o iteresse da SIC Caras na transmissão dos Golden Globes. Se é para comentarem os vestidos e as cusquices da passadeira vermelha, podem ver no canal E! 

Depois, a Sic Caras é um canal exclusivo da Zon, ou seja, muita gente (talvez grande parte) nem conseguiu ver os Golden Globes este ano. E onde anda a TVI quando realmente se precisa dela para transmitir estas coisas interessantes (as únicas que ainda passam)!?

Como fã de cinema e de séries, há já algum tempo que acompanho as transmissões dos principais prémios televisivos e cinematográficos americanos na televisão e gostaria decontinuar a fazê-lo. É uma pena que mais nenhum canal por cabo tenha mostrado interesse na transmissão dos Golden Globes (um que exista na Meo, na Zon, na Vodafone e na Cabo Visão). Espero que a TVI tenha o bom senso de continuar a transmitir os Óscares (nem acredito que estou a dizer isto!). É que ver em streaming na Internet não é a mesma coisa que ver na TV descansada e sentada no sofá. Fica aqui todo o meu descontentamento, irritação, frustração e raiva com esta situação da tranmissão!

Agora numa nota mais leve e de interesse em relação à 71ª. Edição dos Golden Globe Awards, que premeia os melhores em cinema e televisão através da Hollywood Foreign Press Association, ficam aqui os vencedores.

Em cinema o grande vencedor foi 12 Years a Slave como Melhor Filme de Drama, enquanto American Hustle venceu como Melhor Filme Musical ou Comédia. Matthew McConaughey levou o globo de ouro como Melhor Actor de Drana pelo filme Dallas Buyers Club (confesso que foi uma surpresa, apesar de o considerar um óptimo actor, não esperava que ele vencesse). Cate Blanchett venceu como Melhor Actriz de Drama por Blue Jasmine (também uma surpresa, quando muito se falava na possibilidade de Sandra Bullock vencer). Jared Leto foi o Melhor Actor Secundário de Drama por Dallas Buyers Club (acho que esta foi mesmo a maior surpresa!). Creio que pouca gente esperava isto, mas atenção que fiquei surpreendida por ele ter ganho pelo facto de estar a fazer cada vez menos filmes afastando-se um pouco do cinema para se dedicar mais à música e à banda 20 Seconds To Mars e não por duvidar do seu talento como actor. E Jennifer Lawrence venceu o globo de Melhor Actriz Secundária de Drama por American Hustle que levou ainda o globo de Melhor Filme Musical ou Comédia e para Melhor Actriz em Filme Musical ou Comédia para Amy Adams. Na mesma categoria, Leonardo Dicaprio venceu o globo de Melhor Actor em Filme Musical ou Comédia por The Wolf Of Wall Street. Destaque ainda para Alfonso Cuarón como Melhor Realizador por Gravity, para Spike Jonze com o Melhor Argumento por Her, para Frozen, o Melhor Filme de Animação e para The Great Beauty (Itália) como Melhor Filme Estrangeiro. 
 
Nas séries dramáticas, Breaking Bad venceu dois globos de seguida, na categoria de Melhor Actor para Bryan Cranston e melhor série dramática (estes dois também eram muito previsíveis, uma vez que se tratava de uma série muito popular e por ser a última temporada). Robin Wright ganhou o globo de Melhor Actriz Dramática por House of Cards.
 
A Melhor Série de Comédia este ano foi Brooklyn Nine-Nine e o Melhor Actor foi Andy Samberg pela mesma série. A Melhor Actriz de Comédia foi Amy Poehler por Parks and Recreation.

Behind the Candelabra ganhou o globo de Melhor Mini-Série ou Filme Televisivo. Na mesma categoria Elizabeth Moss venceu como Melhor Actriz por Top of the Lake e Michael Douglas como Melhor Actor por Behind the Candelabra. Jacqueline Bisset foi consideranda a Melhor Actriz Secundária por Dancing on the Edge e Jon Voight o Melhor Actor Secundário por Ray Donovan.

A cerimónia dos Golden Globe Awards foi apresentada por Tina Fey e Amy Poehler, onde as piadas foram sempre politicamente correctas (volta Ricky Gervais, please!), sem trazer novidades à cerimónia. Houve apenas dois ou três momento mais engraçados, mas nada de diferente.
